There is a $28,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the Martin Fire. The Bureau of Land Management has increased the offer to $5000. Separate from the BLM, Snyder Plumbing of Winnemucca is offering $1000, $7000 from Humboldt County, Newmont Mine along with Elko Land and Livestock are offering $5000, and the Stewart Family of 96 Ranch are offering $10,000. The Freshmen Football team will travel to Fernley on Thursday, September 6th. Kickoff will be at 5pm.
September 7th the JV and Varsity football teams will host Fernley with the JV taking the field at 4:30 and Varsity kicking off at 7pm.
September 7th the Bucks’ soccer teams will be hosting Sparks with the JV game starting at 3pm and Varsity beginning at 5pm.
September 7th the Lady Bucks’ soccer teams will travelling to Sparks with the JV game starting at 3pm and Varsity taking the field at 5pm.
The volleyball teams will be host Dayton on September 7th with Freshman taking the court at 4pm, JV at 5 and Varsity wrapping it up at 6pm.
September 8th the Bucks’ soccer teams will be hosting North Valley High School with the JV match beginning at 10am and Varsity taking the field at noon.
September 8th the Lady Bucks’ soccer team will be traveling to North Valley High School. The JV will take the field at 10am with Varsity beginning at noon.
September 8th the volleyball teams will host South Tahoe with the matches beginning at 10am as the freshmen take the court with JV following at 11 and Varsity beginning at noon.
September 5th NDOT will apply the final layer to Winnemucca Blvd from Exit 173 to 176. Expect up to thirty-minute delays as the roadwork is completed.
The American Youth Soccer Organization will host their opening ceremony on September 8th at 8am to kick off the soccer season.
The 12th annual ‘Walk in Memory Walk for Hope’ is Saturday, September 15th, at the Winnemucca Community Garden. Registration begins at 8am, or you can register online at nvsuiccideprevention.org.
