Martin Fire reward up to $28,000

WINNEMUCCA, Nev. – The Bureau of Land Management is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for starting the Martin Fire. Anyone with information about this fire or individuals who may be responsible, please contact BLM law enforcement at 775-857-3511.

In addition to the BLM reward, below is a list of the other rewards being put up for information leading to conviction on the Martin Fire.

Stewart family of 96 Ranch $10,000

BLM met and toured the Martin Fire last week to with permitees, stake holders, state and local government agencies, university groups and nonprofit agencies, to identify resources and concerns. The Emergency Stabilization Response plans will be submitted by the end of next week to the Nevada BLM state office before it goes to Washington for final approval.

The Martin Fire, named for the Martin Creek area, started between 9:00-11:00 p.m., on Wednesday, July 4 approximately seven miles north of Paradise Valley, Nevada. Due to more accurate mapping and removing the unburned interior islands, the Martin Fire has burned 416,821 acres and is 100 percent contained.
