Labor Day Carnival, Rodeo Tickets on Sale Now

WINNEMUCCA, Nev.—Tickets are now on sale for Winnemucca’s biggest weekend. But if you don’t act soon, some great discounts will be gone before the Labor Day fun even begins.

This year’s carnival, which comes courtesy of Schoeppner Shows, will provide plenty of spin-you-till-you’re-queasy fun from Thursday, August 30, until the Ferris Wheel takes its last spin on Sunday evening, September 2.

Pay-one-price wristbands for Thursday or Friday are now available at CB Brown True Value Hardware, Tips Western, the Winnemucca Convention Center and the Winnemucca Events Complex office. Cost in advance is $25; price at the gate is $30.

Also, get 24 ride tickets for only $15; price at the gate is $20. The average adult ride is four tickets; kiddie rides are three tickets each.

Don’t forget to round up some rodeo bargains too. The 97th annual “Bulls and Broncs!” Labor Day Rodeo is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Saturday, September 1. Pre-sale tickets are now $10, $2 off event-day prices. Kids 8 and under get in free.
