Sydney Connors Leads Lady Bucks Softball to Sweep over Sparks

The Lady Bucks have continued their winning ways by sweeping Sparks this past weekend. The 3 game sweep put the Lady Bucks into 2nd place in league play with a 7-1 record. The Friday game saw Lowry  win 12-1 with Sylvie Prokasky tossing a 3 hitter to notch her 3rd win of the season. The hitting stars for the game were Kyllie Sappington who went 4 for 4 at the plate with 2 doubles and 4 RBI’s. The following players also had 2 hits apiece, Sylvie Prokasky,Alyssa Kuskie and Kelcey Cooper. Sydney Connors hit her 3rd home run of the season and knocked in 3 RBI’s.

The second game of the 3 game series had the ladies winning 14-4. Macie Katzenmeyer was the winning pitcher. Sydney Connors was the hitting star driving in 3 RBI’s on a double and another home run. Sylvie Prokasky, Kelcey Cooper and Kyllie Sappingtion all had 2 hits with Kyllie also driving in 3 RBI’s on 2 doubles.

The third game was over in 3 innings by a score of 15-0. Sylvie Prokasky pitched a no hitter for her 4th win of the season and she helped her own cause by driving in 3 RBI’s on 2 hits. Sydney Connors drove in 7 RBI’s on 3 hits which included a double and yet another home run, her 5th on the season.

Coach Lucas was pleased with his teams performance and wants to fine team some of the little things.

Next up is a weekend date at Elko High School this Friday and Saturday weather permitting.
