Lowry Girls Basketball Team Heads to the State Tournament

One of the most important games of the season is the regional semi-final game and like the previous 4 years the Lady Bucks advance to the State Tournaments with a 53-49 win over Spring Creek. Sydney Connors and Alyssa Kuskie once again saved the Lady Bucks from elimination as Lowry didn’t play a great game.

After the win against Spring Creek, which assured Lowry of their trip to the State Tournament in Reno, they faced their nemesis the last few years in the Fallon Greenwave. The lady Bucks started the game strong and even late into the second quarter but a couple of plays before halftime defined what would happen in the game as the Lady Bucks went into the intermission down 5 points.  Just like in the State Championship game last year in Las Vegas, the girls were in the game at half but came out in the third quarter and laid an egg with to many turnovers and lack of defensive intensity. The Lady Bucks went on to lose to Fallon by a score of 66-40.

Coach Chelsea Cabatbat know she has to regroup her troops and get them to focus first on the Mohave Rattlers in the State semi-final game at 3pm in Reno. They need to win that game to advance to the championship game on Saturday at 2:40pm. All of the Lowry games will be broadcast on 92.1fm and streamed live on the internet.
