LHS Girls Basketball Team Looks to get Back to Winning Ways

Unfortunately the Lowry girl’s basketball team dropped a pair of games this past weekend at Fernley and Fallon. The loss to league leader Fallon wasn’t as surprising as the loss to Fernley but Coach Chelsea Cabatbat was pleased with her teams effort at Fernley.

Coach Cabatbat is searching for ways to get more players involved in the scoring and in particular the post players. Sydney Connors and Alyssa Kuskie has provided most of the scoring punch this season but Chelsea knows for her team to be successful they need to get the post players to not only rebound, which they are doing a good job of going after the basketball, but to put the ball back up for scoring opportunities.

Tonight at 6pm at Lowry High School the Lady Buckaroos take on their rival the Elko Indians. Lowry currently sits in 4th place in league just a half game in front of Elko so Coach Cabatbat know this is an important game.

Pure Gold 92.1fm will broadcast tonight’s girls game at 6pm and the home game on Friday against Spring Creek. Both games will also be streamed on the internet.
