Lowry Volleyball Team Heads to State for First Time Since 2005

3A North Regional Champions has a great sound to it and now the girls are on a quest to bring home the State championship  trophy. Congratulations to the Lowry volleyball team for doing something that 11 past teams couldn’t do and that is make it to the State Tournament. Coach Eastman talks about how they team responded in their quest to make it to the state tournament.

The one thing the volleyball team has had all year has been strong local support at all of their home games and Lowry High School administration made sure that the regional’s in Fallon would feel like a home. They school bused a large number of students and the number of people that traveled by car helped give the girls the energy needed to winn the championship as Coach Eastman talks about that support.

The team needed to beat Fernley to secure a bid to Las Vegas and Brandon talks about the leadership of this years team.

Coach Eastman is and has always been about the team and once again he stressed the importance of of the entire team putting forth the effort and being in unison but he also had to single out one player who played outstanding during the regional tournament.

Lowry will play on Friday November 10th at 7:30pm and if or should I say when they advance to the championship game it will be played on Saturday at 4pm.
