Great news for Northern Nevada, UNR School of Medicine now ranks among the most affordable medical schools – Northern Nevada Business Weekly
In a study released by USA Today, The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine now ranks 13th in the nation as one of the most affordable medical schools.
There were three factors when determining the list: annual tuition costs, average amount of debt at graduation, and the percentage of borrowers receiving institutional aid. On average, aspiring medical students can expect to accrue more than $160,000 in medical school debt, while UNR Med students pay nearly $30,000 less due to low tuition rates and ample financial aid opportunities.
What’s more, as a community-based, research-intensive institution, UNR Medical students receive unique opportunities for hands-on training and cutting-edge research, providing an invaluable medical school experience at a fraction of the cost.
