The Girls Basketball Team Has Easy Win As They Prepare for Regional’s

The lady Bucks dismantled the Truckee Wolverines last night winning 54-15. Coach Cabatbat used all of her players for at least half a game so they all could be prepared for the new things they are going to use this Friday in regional’s.

Lowry was led by Alyssa Kusskie with 14 points followed Amiee Brandon and Brooklyn Waller with 6 a piece. Almost everyone got in to the scoring column for the Lowry in what was their final tune-up for the playoffs.

The Lady Buckaroos demolished Truckee Thursday and will play Friday for a spot in the zone final here in Winnemucca.  Coach Chelsea Cabatbat talked with Buckaroo Radio about the win “definitely used this game to work on things we are going to put in this weekend on Friday. We have been working on things  with the freshmen boys team this last week. It was nice to put in against somebody else so hopefully we can tune it up tomorrow.”

The girls from Lowry went out of their way to accommodate the Truckee Wolverines Tuesday and took care of business 51-15. Coach Chelsea Cabatbat’s team will play Friday against an unknown opponent, but with a game plan in mind “it’s anybody’s game right now and we’ve go to be ready and take care of business, preparing everyday and working on new things they haven’t seen all year. We just got to step out on Friday at 3 o’clock and take care of ourselves and play our style of basketball.”

The Lady Bucks will tip-off at 3pm at the Winnemucca Events Center against the winner of the Elko and South Tahoe game.
